Bird DNA testing is the easiest and the most accurate way to determine whether your bird is male or female.
DNA sexing services can be performed with a drop of blood, 2-3 feathers or a small piece of eggshell membrane samples those are equally reliable for testing. The samples are subjected to three levels of PCR testing to confirm the results thereby enhancing the accuracy of results.
The bird parentage DNA test allows you to determine if your birds are related together. To perform a parentage analysis, DNA samples of both parents and the offspring are required. It is not possible, however, to determine whether two birds are related if there is no information about the (suspected) parents. Parentage analysis may be performed using feather- or blood samples. To perform parentage analysis, approximately 2-4 plucked feathers are required. You will receive a certificate with the results of the parentage analysis.
